I've had a legit copy of Microsoft Office XP Pro that I obtained through Hofstra University in 2003 after my computer got fried by a faulty circuit and I lost all the software I had. I've held on to it because despite what they'd like you to think, there haven't been any major innovations in spreadsheet and word processing software. Office 2007 is just a fancy makeover that is guaranteed to piss off long time users by making it difficult to find any of the common commands. Seriously, if they had changed the default keyboard shortcuts I would have to relear Word from scratch.
Anyway, Microsoft decided it was time I upgraded my office package, and Vista upgraded me overnight. So now I'm stuck with Office 2007, which would be nice, but Microsoft isn't accepting my product license. So now instead of having Office XP which I was fine with, I have a non-functioning version I don't want. Hurray.
This is how Microsoft rewards you for not stealing software. Lame.
