How I Write A Comic

I had the following conversation at the airport:

"Hi."
"What?"
"Hi."
[nods]
"Just wanted to uh, I saw you here, and thought I'd say Hi."
"Oh."
[short, but awkward silence]
"Well, I'm going to get on a plane now. Have a nice holiday."

I am not Paul Newman apparently.
